Will Miocic pay a 'Stipe' price for his strategy?

Why would he come in 'skinny' again?

I see how it made sense vs Cormier. He was never gonna outwrestle D.C. but against Ngannou he will need all the strength he can muster. If his gameplan is different from last time, he is gonna get ko'd.

I know he talks about evolving and changing game plans, but why would he want to change something that worked real well last time? Against which Ngannou most likely dont have an answer. Francis is mid-thirties, I dont think at that age you become elite at something you are naturally not-- a wrestler.

Ngannou IS strong. His gas tank while not great is not horrible either (for a heavyweight). If Stipe doesnt do everything in his power to take the fight to the ground, he will get knocked out

Not a big deal
In the HW division the speed, movement and cardio often are more beneficial than the size since they are both big
Stipe knows he isn't bigger, stronger and doesn't hit harder so focus on your strengths.
He is gonna ht and move.Set him up and take him down. It isn't about strength especially against a guy like Ngannou who even if he improved his wrestling is still likely significantly behind Stipe in that area

Most HW champs have been near the 240 mark and not huge monsters

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! Who do you guys like?? I think it goes without saying, if Stipe survives the first two rounds he should win easily. I wonder what the live betting would be at that point in the fight? If it gets there.

You like Stipe Matt?

It’s a no bet for me, but it’s hard not to like him as a dog, again...

If he can stay outta the way of the one punch bomb and weather the storm, he should wear down Ngannou and possibly get the finish...

The fights I really liked on this card got cancelled, again...lol

Can't wait until Ngannou knocks Jones into another dimension
Will be interesting where Stipe goes from here at is age
I said he should have retired or only fought Jones as the only fight that improves his legacy was Jones

2nd that. Jones actually getting in the ring with Francis is the issue. He will hurt Jones badly, as there is no substitute for power in HW. The odds makers will make it 50/50 probably, which Francis should be at least a 200+ favorite. Been waiting for this for years (HW for JJ), but he will do whatever to get out of the matchup

Lol Ngannou/Jones won’t be anywhere close to even money

Ain’t a secret Ngannou is a monster ready to seek and destroy

Stipe is best HW ever and he wasn’t even competitive last night

I believe it was -140 to -150ish before last night (not the easiest thing to bet since fight isn’t even scheduled) but he is not -140 anymore and if he is, it won’t be for long unless you got a bookie that lives under a rock.

Fight probably won’t even happen if Jones is serious about his financial demands. Supposedly he wants like 25-30M, which isn’t going to happen. Look for Ngannou v Lewis 2 in July/August followed by Ngannou v Miocic 3 in December/January.
